Before founding the company, he served as a consultant for the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) and collaborated on projects with WWF Indonesia. Ismail Hasan

Head of Operations & Community Liaison

Credentials: 20+ years in Indonesian marine tourism; Certified Captain (Ahli Nautika Tingkat III); Former Wakatobi National Park Ranger.

Bio: Born and raised on Kaledupa island, Ismail possesses an unparalleled understanding of the Wakatobi archipelago’s currents, weather patterns, and secret dive spots. His career began as a park ranger, giving him an intimate knowledge of the park’s regulations and conservation challenges. He later captained some of Indonesia’s most respected Phinisi liveaboards before joining our team. Ismail manages all our vessel operations, logistics, and safety protocols. Crucially, he is our bridge to the local communities, ensuring our operations are respectful, beneficial, and culturally sensitive. His relationships with local village heads and cooperatives are essential to the authentic experiences we offer.

Sofia Wijaya

Director of Guest Experience

Credentials: B.A. in Hospitality Management, Swiss Hotel Management School; 10 years with Aman Resorts & Four Seasons in Southeast Asia.

Bio: Sofia brings a world-class luxury hospitality perspective to the remote beauty of Wakatobi. She believes that a seamless, personalized journey is paramount. Sofia oversees every touchpoint of the guest experience, from the initial inquiry for a Wakatobi tour to the bespoke arrangements for pre- and post-trip extensions in Bali or Jakarta. Lead Dive Expedition Leader

Credentials: PADI Course Director; DAN Dive Emergency Specialist; Certified Underwater Photographer.

Bio: With over 5,000 logged dives in Wakatobi alone, Made is one of the most experienced dive leaders in the region. He is a master at spotting rare macro critters, from pygmy seahorses to ghost pipefish, and is equally adept at guiding divers through the park’s dramatic wall dives and sea mounts. As a PADI Course Director, he is responsible for the continuous training and safety certification of our entire dive team. Made’s passion for underwater photography and his patient teaching style help guests of all skill levels capture stunning images of Wakatobi’s 942 reef fish species. He is responsible for planning all dive itineraries, ensuring they are optimized for tidal conditions, marine life encounters, and diver safety.
